Wellness Retreat - Chair Yoga and Sound Bath

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that uses a chair for balance or as a prop for poses/asanas. It's based on traditional yoga, which has poses/asanas that date back thousands of years, and incorporates the same core principles, such as breathing, mindfulness, and staying present. Chair yoga can be practiced while seated or standing, and can be done almost anywhere with a chair.
The experience concludes with a restorative sound bath, where calming vibrations from crystal singing bowls create a peaceful atmosphere that helps quiet the mind, reduce stress, and invite profound relaxation.
Sara will teach you an awareness with your body while seated and standing by moving gently, breathing deeply and feeling renewed, rejuvenated and relaxed.

7 Essential Yoga Movements & Sound Bath

Step into a peaceful retreat designed especially for the older adult, where gentle movement and soothing sound come together to support vitality, balance, and deep relaxation. Participants will explore the seven essential movements of yoga including forward folds, backbends, rotation, side bends, hip openers, inversions, and balance poses, thoughtfully adapted to be safe, comfortable, and accessible using chhairs, props, or the wall for support. Each session focuses on improving mobility, stability, and ease of movement in daily life while honoring the body's wisdom. The experience concludes with a restorative sound bath, where calming vibrations from crystal singing bowls create a peaceful atomosphere that helps quiet the mind, reduce stress, and invite profound relaxation. This wellness retreat offers a nurturing space to move gently, breathe deeply, and leave feeling refreshed, steady, and renewed.

Mat Yoga with Sara

Mat yoga is a gentle and restorative class designed to improve flexibility, strength and balance through slow, mindful movements performed on a yoga mat. Tailored specifically for adults over the age of 55. This class focuses on stretching, strengthening and breathing techniques that enhance joint mobility and promote overall well-being.
Participants will practice basic yoga poses (asanas) that will help increase flexibility, strengthen muscles, and improve posture, while also emphasizing deep, relaxing breaths. The class offers modifications to ensure all levels can participant comfortably and safely, whether you’re new to yoga or looking to deepen you practice.
Ideal for people seeking to improve flexibility, reduce stress, and enhance overall body awareness. Mat Yoga provides a safe, supportive environment to unwind and move at your own pace. All you need is a yoga mat and an open mind!
